Basilisk HMS is a one-person handyman and property maintenance business working across Brisbane's northside. I live in Ferny Hills and do most of my work within a 15 minute drive of home: the Ferny Grove train line corridor, the suburbs around Kedron Brook, and the hills out towards The Gap and Samford.
Because I'm the only person you deal with, quotes are quick, there's no call centre, and the person who quotes the job is the one who turns up to do it. Fully insured, ABN registered, and happy to take on jobs that are too small for a builder but too fiddly to leave.
I'm based in Ferny Hills, so most northside suburbs are 10 to 20 minutes away.

Northside homes
The north-west is a mix of 1960s and 70s brick and chamferboard homes on sloping blocks, post-war timber houses closer to the city, and newer estates on the edge of the bush. Each has its own regular jobs: retaining walls and drainage on the hills, rot and repaints on the older timber, and flatpacks, fences and decks in the newer areas.
