Ferny Grove sits at the end of the train line and stretches from the older streets near the station out to the newer estates towards Samford Valley. I'm based in neighbouring Ferny Hills, so Ferny Grove jobs are a short drive and easy to fit in, even the small ones.

Ferny Grove homes
The suburb has two halves. Around the station and Ferny Grove State High the homes are 1970s and 80s brick and timber on sloping blocks, much like Ferny Hills. Out towards Samford Road and the valley are newer brick and rendered homes from the 1990s onwards, where the jobs are more about fences, decks, pergolas and finishing the outdoor spaces than repairing old timber.
Bush edge and weather
Streets bordering the creek and the state forest deal with leaf litter, damp shaded walls and the occasional storm damage. Gutter clearing, pressure cleaning and treating mould on south-facing walls are regular jobs here.
